It starts from my toes, and I wrinkle my nose

Saturday, June 24, 2006 My dad and I woke up at 2 30am yesterday, and headed down to kovan macs to watch Switzerland vs Korea Republic match. before that terence said he was coming along and matt will meet us at macs IF he can wake up. the thing was his handphone was spoilt so i couldnt be his alarm clock. anyway halfway through my sleep, terence backed out and i couldnt bear to wake my dad up considering that he just came back from thailand and airplane rides can be tiring. so i prayed real real hard and asked God to make matt drown in a deep sleep so that he wont go to macs and not find anyone there. heh. yeah thinking about it its kinda funny.

anyway i decided that i'll just go to my dad's room and sit on his bed to see if he was awake. when i went there he was already in the awake mode only blur but still able to crake lame jokes on whether i was certain macs will have apple pie at this time of the day. so we went down after he washed his face and combed his hair -my brother was soundly asleep throughout-.

it wasnt very crowded inside. ok maybe it was due to the construction they were having but still maybe only around 15 or so people were watching. ok so this is what i've taken note of while watching the game -switzerland won 2-0 by the way-

the goal keepers can be regarded as kicking maniacs on the pitch and could be mistaken for woodbridge patients on the loose if not for them wearing their jersey. when the opponent is having a corner ball they're shouting and screaming at their players to stand where ever like a teacher intending on punishing the student by making him/her stand at a particular spot. Then when a ball goes past them, i.e the other team scores they squeeze their head with both their hands cause maybe they think that their head is getting in the way of them catching the ball or seeing straight. what can i say? i already told you they're crazy people. Also, they're most of the time left alone by themselves when all 22 players are on the other half of the pitch fighting like bulldogs for a single black and white adidas ball. once they're left alone, they'll start fretting over the scoring of their own country's goals and thus start mumbling nonsense again and since they're isolated it furthers my case that they're humans on the verge of a breakdown.

however, looking at their positive traits, these people can really jump when they need to, can stretch to the ends of the earth when they want to save something-the ball in this case- and can scream thus having big lungs. i assume they can kick a horse since they can kick a ball halfway across the earth-yes i know im exaggerating but who cares-

oh oh there's this korean striker. i know he's a striker cause...well i just know cause im smart. he's called lee chun soo by the way. its very amusing to watch him on the pitch cause you'll first find him starting corner balls on the offence side then when the ball travels to the other half you see him appear out of no where to defend and hit the ball out of the swiss posession. anybody who has watched the match as is interested in rigging him come to me and we'll have a great time poking fun of him. ok i find myself evil..but who cares.

the koreans performed badly this morning. their control of the ball was non- existent, when they pass it was bound to get intercepted by the swiss, the were making long balls in the first half, and when they wanted to score, their pitch was empty with only 3 or 4 of them against a whole line up of swiss defenders. tsktsk. how do they intend to break through?! and when they had so many chances of scoring it all went way off or the ball bounced on the ground. sigh.

well its unfortunate for them i guess. not in the top 16. but somebody has to lose and the other the winner =)
