Tuesday, November 28, 2006 today was a...corny day. considering that i was stuck with two boys aged 16(who locks me in a dark storeroom) in a room writing a script and listening to endless songs from youtube for 3 hours. Shakes head. you'll understand why when you see the christmas script.

im busy this whole week. dont ask me to go out anymore. until Cambridge night is over.

Saturday, November 25, 2006 yesterday and today was fun filled.

marcus,theo,terence,sarah,gracia,you ying and I went to sentosa intending to have a sunfilled day at the beach. we set about digging a trench which ended up in the shape of a fish but it started pouring and we hastily packed out things and sheltered in one of the tents. BUT the water was dripping rapidly off from the tents and collecting in a big pool. Pretty soon it would have reached our belongings but the guys were quick enough to think of creating a river by digging their heels into the sand. so yes thats how we diverted the water away. but the rain got to heavy like a thunderstorm without the lighting. so w ran all the way to the pavilon and got wet by rainwater. I was intending to get wet by seawater not rainwater. oh wells.

played volleyball, captainsball/rugby until it started drizzling again thats when we decided to pack up and head to vivo to catch a movie. AS USUAL VIVO WAS FULLY BOOKED. people dont go there for movies.

rushed down to PS where we managed to get the whole row for Happy Feet!!! hahaha. ate at carl's junior. 8 of us, 2 pretty girls and 6 pretty guys. hahaha. yes the girls got the 6 guys to all watch happy feet. cool aye? haha.

went home ard 9 and was super tired. didnt get burnt only heated up by the sun. oh wells.

today had lunch at coco with matt. we two pathetic souls sat at the coffee shop for an hour plus with nothing to do while terence came to eat then left, desmond came and left for home then mark came. after that headed down to church for worship practice. Finally able to play with the band. So happy. haha. ermm went ok only that quite a few songs were new and we were like huhh. but yea.

had service and stuff, fooled around matt tried to teach me how to play jason mraz The Remedy which sounded really weird. packed up ket everything in the store when matt switched off the lights and closed the door refusing to let me out. I had to go back a few times and then matt brought mark along to lock the door behind me. Evil pigs.

oh yes right. I'm assigned to write out an hours worth of skit for the christmas concert. All The best to me. THANKS NORMAN. ai. should be ok. ONLY THAT I DONT HAVE THE SONGS NORMAN. Intending to meet up with some of them to get the ideas out. Have to write out the whole plot BY NEXT WEDNESDAY.Hmmm. any suggestions?

Friday, November 24, 2006 Ok people have been chasing me to update my blog but im so sorry! I’ve been uber busy shopping almost everyday, getting a haircut and just plainly exercising my ass out. Oh oh and don’t you think Utt is hot. He is huh. Like totally hotttt. Smoking. *Swoons* was just watching coffee talks and hawker woks and yea he was being all cosy and nice and friendly with Fiona Xie.

Anyway been getting ready for canbridge dinner which is next Thursday. After that then it’ll be 9 more days to sunning it out in NZ getting a much needed tan. When I come back, I’ll receive my posting and if they don’t give me SA I’ll go work at wild wild wet. Is it possible? I want to. Heh.

Shopping for prom can be equalizing to blasting a hole in your pocket. I’ve spent 200 over. Yes and my mom has no more money left. Oops. And it can be tiring as well walking the whole of orchard road, traveling from vivo to cathay to city hall then walking from raffles city to suntec to citylink. But channing tatum makes it all worth while and so does your friends.

I was running around the park one evening and they had recently reconstructed the park to give it a nicer, more neighbourhood-ly, cosy feeling. So there was this huge open air pavilion, and a green field plus playgrounds and the norm. whilst running I was just looking at the kids playing at these areas. One group consisted of pri 6, secondary students both Chinese and Malay, another; primary 1,2 students in their soccer jerseys and another group of siblings all playing soccer but in the 3 separate groups. When you look at it, soccer is THE THING that makes the world go round not money. Basketball..partly but you cant play bball without a court whilst soccer is a free for all anywhere with space. The pimary school girls were even participating in the soccer games until they got so fed up with the boys cause the boys refused to pass to them the ball that the girls took off on their bikes. Now this is what I call enjoying life, where children can just go down to the park by themselves, enjoy a game of soccer on the grass barefooted then go home sweaty and smelling. Not sitting in front of a computer the whole day playing dota or psp.

Now when I walked back to Maplewood park there was these 3 kids (siblings) at the exercise station. The little indian boy around pri 3,4 had this blue kick scooter which he left unattended. A small Chinese girl, maybe 1 was toddling around and the scooter caught her eye. Up she went looking at it, touching it waiting for the scooter to react or move. You know when a toddler sees something they get so absorbed in figuring out the particular mystery of a scooter that they’ll just stare and stare waiting for something to happen. So the Indian boy sees whats happening he goes up to her and offers the scooter to her by pushing it nearer. He bends down smiles, pats her head then walks back to the monkey bars. But seeing the two different races being able to communicate so dearly with each other, I see it as a blessing from our God that He gives peace to our country that all races are able to play together in harmony and enjoy each others company.

For Malays and Chinese to be able to play soccer with each other, frankly not many countries have that advantage to do so. When you are invited to your neighbours’ house for dinner during a festive occasion be it Deepavali or Hari Raya, everybody can just come together without any worry and have a good dinner. Ok teachers always pound it into our head that its cause of the good governance that we are under hence we are able to have RACIAL HARMONY, because LKY or GCT is the main leader to uphold peace and understanding between the racial groups. Yes, I do agree that part of it is with much thanks to our government but the larger portion of ALL OF US Singaporeans being able to live together in harmony next door to each other, now that’s the larger contribution to a blessed and peaceful country.

I think all of us should be EXTREMELY grateful for the peace that reigns in our country, that we are able to walk our streets, sit in the MRT or converse with an Indian or Malay or Chinese without any scoffing or glares.

Count your blessings before you go to bed tonight. Thank God for each and everything in your life.

Friday, November 17, 2006 The exams are finally finally over. And it has yet to sink in fully. But celebrations have already started beginning with brave Sam risking her life. hahaha. heres the details.

jayne and co. got 2 huge coca cola bottles and a tube of mentos to try out the "you cant eat mentos while drinking coke rumour" everyone was so afraid that the bottle would explode like a bob or something they were trying to find ways to throw the mentos into the bottle. then Sam the brave stepped out and volunteered to put the mentos inside. so while everyone was standing either 1.5 metres away from the bottle or looking from the second level i put the 2 mentos in and out came a fountain of...coke foam. yeap. rather cool. after that only half the bottle was left.

we tried with another bottle and this time i put in 3 or 4. 1/3 of the bottle was left. pretty cool huh.

after that one group went to marina bay for steamboat whilst the other headed down to suntec NYDC. waited extremely long for jill, jolene and eunice and chua was moaning and groaning. hahaha. but of course the long wait was worth the 4 dishes we ate plus the others that ate their own separate dish. MUDPIE. mmmm. total cost for 8 ppl? $116. not too bad.

and today I went out with dear gracia and denise to watch step up. de and I were constantly squabbling about...things. hahaha. she didnt like being at vivo so boy was she glad when we had to go to cathay instead.and she wanted to watch some other show...i cant remember but i insisted on step up. along the way we made up some quotes which i thought was funny but they thought was gross in a perverse way. we were eating mnm's and i couldnt get them out of the packet. so I said to De"squeeze the peanut. SQUEEZE the peanut" they thought i was like just saying something absurb but when i kept digging my fingers into the packet they kinda got the idea hahaha. and De was describing the new James Bond of Casion Royale as this small ball of muscle that jumps around. and she'll make funny noises like a mouse. hahha. imagine it pls.

Step Up is HOTT. Im gonna get the vcd and watch it over and over and over.

Friday, November 10, 2006 ok i haven't been blogging a proper post in eons. Forgive for that but who can blame me for hardly having the time to type such lengthy discusions on what I feel about whats happening around me whilst the impending daily exams loom over me like a monste that can only scare but not eat me up. So there. Dont complain that i haven't ben posting up interesting posts cause i'll eat up. *smirks*

Heres the lowdown on what's been happening during the week. Basically when everyone else is having a LIFE a group of us are sacrificing our social life for more important things on our list (well impt to the teachers and MOE). Yes O and A levels durh. Poor things yea. I know i know. Pity us. You know, thinking abot it every Singaporean child has to mug their arse off for a period of 4 or 2 years respectively for a SINGLE day of examination. Get what I mean? After that we just simply chuck our books, notes, (wadeva else you have regarding that subject) into a corner of your cupboard. Well at least thats what I have been doing.

Furthermore, we lack some serious shopping time and just plainly bumming out at the beach soaking up the sun. I need the time and energy to go running and these papers are squeezing every ounce of brain energy left in me hence my lack of exercise which is making me feel like a heavy potato sack.

Right now I gotta focus on whatever exams i have left which is thankfully only 3 more subjects where one of them (physics) will not be touched till the day before the exam. After exams its preparing for the NZ trip, practicing on my guitar and yadayada that you've probably heard a thousand times already.

Rightt and I have to find time to prepare for worship this sunday. Yipee sooo exciting. *pls note that a hint of sacarsm is intended if you're too dumb to realise*

Im not exactly in the best of moods right now cause I just waiting for time to pass so that I can make my way down to serangoon gardens mac's to clarify certain math questions with my friend. After that is the long walk back to school, the long wait for the exam to start and the longg 2 and 1/2 hours of doing e math paper 2.

If you're sick of reading my complains and me lamenting about my woes then shoo away. If not thank you for hanging on till the last sentence no matter how bored you are while reading a post thats neither fulfilling nor inspiring.

Well at least theres one thing to look forward to. The weekends are here. Yay for weekends.

My body is too weak today to study though i want to do so. Darn cramps and chills. Yet, the show must go on, our books must continuously be flipped and read through, papers must be completed and marked and corrected again and again till we understand our mistakes. And to think I have a family dinner tonight. So not looking forward to it. Come on its in the middle of my exams and the 3 hours over spent together is just wasted over food.

In exactly 2 weeks time I'll be making my way down to Suntec City Marche with the girls for a feast. And in exactly 4 weeks time I'll be going for Cambridge Dinner. Whenever I think of it I just feel like burying my head in the dirt like an ostrich. Gosh, THANK YOU CHUA YEE LING FOR MAKING MY DAY. LIKE REALLY THANK YOU. YOU KNOW I CANT DO THESE KIND OF THINGS YET YOU SABO-ED ME?! YES OK TALKING IS ONE THING BUT PUTTING ON MAKE UP AND DOING CATWALK. just let me hide. *shakes head*


Literature is finally over. and can you believe it my dear readers, I, Samantha See did unseen poem. WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS I TRYING TO DO? OR PROVE? POEM?!! Out of my 4 years of studying literature I've only done an unseen poem in examinations ONCE. ONCE. AND THE NEXT TIME I HAD TO DO POEM IS ON MY O LEVEL PAPER. RAHHH. Lets just say I'll have to leave the rest to God, that he'll make my paper be seen as a favourite in the marker's eyes.

I've chucked my lit text and notes into a far off corner. Anyone who is taking Grass is Singing next year can take my book by all means. No more lit for the rest of my L.I.F.E.
