Monday, January 29, 2007 work today didnt start smoothly at all what with me making mistakes and sending wrong info to the other departments. sigh. never mind. With mistakes comes experience. I'll learn from it. haha.

Right now my handphone isnt working. As in my smses cant be read due to the high number of smses i have in my inbox. But when I try to clar it, the phone stalls and hangs so im only able to receive calls right now. But not to worry, im making my way down to the Nokia service centre tomorrow to get it fixed.

Went to Chua's house today to teach her bridge. I've concluded that im a good teacher since I managed to teach her to differentiate between 4 different shapes and which numbers are bigger than which number. She ever had difficulty in deciding which number was bigger, 3 or 10? hahaha. But im proud of her! she FINALLY managed to understand the minimal basic of bridge, all ready for her cca on friday. Sniggers hahaha. Wednesday again ok chua?! and get more people!

Sunday, January 28, 2007 Dang its the end of the week.Frankly right now i'll take schooling anyday compared to working. Well maybe its because my colleagues are of a much older age than I am and I dont feel at ease while im around them. I mean even for those that im quite friendly with, they're still so much older than me and they smoke. Tsk. Not that I detest them, I dont, I detest their smoking habit thats all.

Results will be out in a weeks time and then we'll see what happens to Sam =). Where will I go? I wonder.

My mom will be leaving for scotland tonight. till next sunday. One less person in the house. Not that it makes a large difference anyway since im not home half the time.

Running today with Des and Terence at the stadium. We called marcu only to find out that he went running by himself all the way to Compasspoint. Rightt. Let him run. We'll train in secret before joining him. shhhh. hahaha. The clouds couldnt decide if they wanted to let down the rain but thank God they didnt and there was only a pleasent wind blowing.

Lots of meetings as well in church what with SF day being next week, meeting up with the SF comm to be briefed on the SSTs and meeting the guys to discuss about the Spirit Flux concert. Progress isnt too bad for a day's worth. Quite satisfied with what we've decided on, only now we cant find a suitable emcee to pair off with Darel and they arent enough male vocalists. Hopefully I'll be able to get most of it settled by next week.

Nancy was commenting that this year's sec 1 batch was able to converse with each other and they apparently had no qualms talking to the opposite gender. haha then Matt looked at me and said "not like us." Lol. "The first time we were together as a band we were like errrr..hmmm" haha. Thinking about it, that was the case for our batch. We never really bothered talking to each other and kept our distance from one another. Only after we became a band did we start to get closer and get to know each other much better. Well praise God for my brothers =)).

Saturday, January 27, 2007 Yay. My Internet explorer has finally resumed back to normal. meaning I'm able to watch youtube and listen to audio online. Some of you know that its been wacky these past few weeks. Or should i say past month. =) and as you can see, im able to put pictures up in my blog as well.

These are only a few of the girlfriends that God has blessed me with since primary school up till now. I really am fortunate to have such good friends.

Yesterday was kind of a bore since Sam and I couldnt decide what to do, we didnt go out and instead I went back to PL with the intention of playing basketball only to find out that dear Zoey didnt bring a ball and well it was raining. It kept on showering and stopping and starting again and again and we gave up waiting for the rain to stop so headed down to mac's at heartland for dinner. After that the rain did stop so we walked backed all the way to Maple wood park in which we got caught in a shower again. Thankfully we had 2 umbrellas for 3 people and there was shelter all the way to the park so it wasnt too bad.

As for today I had the rare chance of getting up late, bummed around till 11 plus then headed down to Sam Sua's house for a steamboat lunch with Hui Wen,Cherina,Renee,Shu Mei and Sheena. Sam will be leaving on the 2 of feb for Switzerland to study. Im gonna miss her. Seems like everybody is moving off in their own directions, some to australia others to switzerland or just staying put in singapore. Yet its obvious that no matter how often we try to meet up it still isnt the same as compared to seeing each other everyday for the past 10 years we've been together in PL. Call me sentimental but the idea of letting go and moving off to a different place aint that sweet since we've all been brought up in together.

I left my notebook in the office in which i've written down everything that i'm intending to discuss on sunday for the Spirit Flux concert meeting. Darn. Now i have to try and remember it all over again. And further more I left the 2 roses Yana took for me in the cupboard. They're gonna suffocate to death. Thankfully she didnt give me the whole pot. haha.

Wednesday, January 24, 2007 Its wednesday! only 2 more days of work for the week! and tomorrow gracia is coming over to my house to bum around after her sch and my work. =DD All the more to look forward to thursday. Sometimes when gracia and I are together we dont say anything but...i dont know, its ok. Aint awkward or anything cause we're just enjoying each others company. Aye gracia?!

At times I find it so difficult to be a light in the pitch dark world fro where I am right now. With all the corruption and low moral standards it really takes a lot of effort to remember who I am in Christ and what I should be doing. My actions, my words. A challenge indeed that cannot be conquered by my own strength but only by my Father's work. =)

Have been doing a lot of research and talking about TP these few days with Desmond and friends. As most of you know, I went for their open house and it was nice. I like it there and I think im going to enjoy being in TP. Well, we'll see how it goes when i receive my results in 2 weeks time. sheesh its darn fast.

I guess growing up does has its blues and headaches. Sometimes I scratch my head, wondering how it happened or what did I do. The relationship between friends sometimes gets to complex for one or both to understand and have a clear view of the road ahead. Maybe its just me, but it seems as if we're growing up too fast for ourselves to handle. How much is too much for us to hold?

I desperately need to garner this habit of exercising regularly and not only once or twice a week. Who wants to run with me so that i'll definitely go and exercise? hahaha. Well I really dont mind taking up aerobics or kick boxing only because of time constraint right now I cant. What with work, new bs contacts, organising the SF concert and leading and playing for both children, SF and adult worship I kinda have enough in my hands right now. Im contemplating dropping childrens worship. Shld I?hmmm.I'll pray about it.

I need a tan. I need to go to sentosa. I need to laze under the sun.
I'm wasting away in an office with the aircon blowing into my face. Dang.

Sunday, January 21, 2007 Friday's dinner was nice, eating at NYDC with Bre and Hannah. CHERYL came 2 hrs late so she treated us to starbucks cheesecake =). Walked around, went to wisma Topshop tried on a pair of pants, decided I saw too many PL girls in Topshop for that night so I dragged the 3 of them out of the shop to just chill out at starbucks.

Saturday was super tiring waking up at 8 and sleeping at 1. Now I know that doesnt sound too bad but the package includes walking from place to place, squeezing in hot crowded areas and taking trains from one end of the line to the other. Not to mention taking part in the 10-12am prayer. By this morning my legs were aching. Oh and i spent a hundred bucks on 3 pieces of cloth. 1 pants and 2 tops. Shrugs. Had dinner with Sam, Norman and Aileen in Cartel whilst Zhi Zhen and Zhi Yun came in later. Happened to meet my ex-colleague at the adidas shop at city hall. haha. Miss her crapping. Another Samantha. lol.

Today was fine, the norm and lots of talk within the few of us. Especially between Joyce and I. Had so much to tell her and ask for her advice. Deb didnt come cause she was sick. Get well soon deb! After that was family meeting, briefed them on their roles and datelines, got the i/cs settled and family name decided on, had BS then went to the 3rd floor to fiddle with the earrings and join in the audis for fun. yea fun my foot.

Morning shift this week. Wake up at 5 30am and end work at 3pm. Yay to that. Gracia has already booked me on Wednesday after work. =)) more talk. I'm super sleepy.

Wednesday, January 17, 2007 This week's work is a lil dull cause Deb and Joanne are scheduled to work in the morning while I was given the 1-9pm shift. But by God's grace, the people in the office have been treating me rather nicely and there are 2 Caucasian guys attached to our department so its quite interesting. Smiles. One's Swiss, another's MEXICAN. Hotness. Thats why nowadays the office aint that cold anymore. hahaha. joking. Its still freezing in there.

Sadly they're only attached to our department for a week and they're intending to have our photos taken with them only on sat and I took leave on that day. wails. sigh. nvm. i'll remember to bring my cam on friday and take photos with them.

Only 2 more days to dinner date =)).

Sunday, January 14, 2007 i'm on the brink of tears right now knowing that the en blocing finally went through. Gervais and I are down in the dumps and refuse to think about it. I'm going to miss everyone especially terence and tricia, gervais, des, can. and the AH SOO CLAN. No more maplewood park runs at 9pm with terence. No more bballing with Decton that often at Maple. No more sudden trips to Heartland.

Bishan, Seng Kang, Sembawang. Some are feasible others arent.

Gracia, Denise, Deborah and Hui Shi ar going to miss my house. So am I.

Sunday, January 14, 2007 And a new week is beginning. Again. I cant say that im looking forward to work seeing that I have to go home at 9pm everyday on my own. Its just the pits when you think about it. I loath being alone.

On a cheerier note its sunday today! And sunday means SF and friends and BS! hahaha. Really, I miss BS. Last year was a messy year where we hardly had BS for the last 4 months or something cause everyone was extremely busy. Well hopefully this year we'll carry things out as planned and grow in the Lord =). Had a sorting session for the garage sale as well and we were suppose to make earrings but we ended up chatting. So much to say and the time flew by. But I have my next weekend planned out already! Yippee to tht. =D. Dinner date with Hannah, Bre and Cheryl on Friday cause Joanne is going to change shift with me on that day and i'll get the morning shift, Sat morning i'll be meeting nancy to discuss the plans for the SF concert then meet chew and the rest, troop down to TP, walk around then meet church friends for shopping in the evening! Oh and Thursday and Friday I'm planning to go for prayer from 4-6am. God help me to wake up X).

Friday, January 12, 2007 pardon me if I present myself to you on sunday with eye bags as black as pandas'. My sleeping hours has been erratic due to the various shifts i've been taking. I can sleep from 11-9 on 1 day and another i'll be sleeping from 11-5 30am the next. I know its not a lot of difference but still its tiring working in the kind of enviroment im working in k. hahaha. But i'm looking forward to nxt friday and saturday cause after work on friday i'll be meeting my girlfriends for dinner, yeaaaa and sat i requested for a day off so i have the whole day free! will be going for TP open house and after that i'll be able to meet anyone for anything =DD. better book me quick! i'm going fast!

talking about bookings, I feel like booking tickets for Phantom of the Opera thats coming later in the term but I'm not sure if I should cause i've already watched it before in England...hmmm. Anyone wants to purchase a ticket for me? Or sponser me part of the money for a $100++ ticket. Seriously I'd rather pay for a good expensive ticket and enjoy the show then be blocked throughout the whole thing. Well hopefully if I dont attend this musical I'll attend one during Singapore's Arts Fest later in the year. Its a must for me to catch one musical or ballet performance each year. heh. But last year was 2 shows hahaha. and Gracia got to sit with me in the $100 seats for free cause my mom didnt want to go. She felt super guilty lol. Nvm gracia thats what friends are for. To take over anything, anytime hahaha. I love that girl.

Rightt I start work at 11am and end at 7pm tmr. rahhh. I hate people that steal my weekends from me.

Went back to PL for sec 1 debate auditions today. Boy do I miss that bunch of girls. Most people has this...sterotyping against debaters that they're all full of info and nothing else. That they dont know how to enjoy other sweet tings in life. Hey we know how to k. Like hanging out and having our usual macdonald's late night dinner after competitions and talking loads of crap as well. We're cool, not nerds. Learning and gaining new info through researching for motions has always been so enjoyable for me cause im learning new stuff but i have to be forced to do it if not I wont bother. heh. funny aint it.

Wednesday, January 10, 2007 To those people who tagged and will be tagging my board, I know you all miss me a lot. haha continue to miss me then till I meet you again. Which is either this coming sunday or some other time. =)

apart from work, my life is...lifeless. Waking up, work 8 hours, drag myself home, eat, sleep. I have no time to hang out, no time to ball, no time to do almost anything else cause i'll be either too tired or caught up with work. Further more to rub salt into my already deep wound, hannah asked me to go hang out with them sometime next week at night. But i'll be too tired. Darn. And Nat is bugging me to ball with him which I cant. Boo. I want to ball. I havent balled since...saturday. My basketball is sitting forlornly in a corner of my room collecting dust. =( And my body is complaining that its been such a long time since I've ran. Rah. I NEED TO EXERCISE NOW. I really dont understand how people can live without exercising at all.

Obviously what you've just read is utter rubbish so it's quite amazing that you've stayed on this long till this para. Well no more words and let pictures replace them. =)

Monday, January 08, 2007 goodness. I just realised that my saturday post has disappeared into thin air. Darn blogger. And it was a nice entry =( boo.

First day at work today though it isnt exactly work right now since we're undergoing training yet we're being paid and are provided FREE, worth eating, lots of variety lunch. Makes me sound like a pig but nah I dont eat that much. Yet you should see the MOUNTAINS that the China people eat. Including the China girls. like seriously MOUNT Everest.

Well ok lets recount what I did during those 8 hours in Swissotel's rather miserable communiation's office. A team of us went round the hotel rooms changing the phone templates in each room. If there were people in the room(which was hardly) then we'll wait for them to open for us, if not we use the card key to open it, put the templates and slack in the room. Like seriously slack. We laid on the bed, sat on the chairs and prop our legs up, checked out the toilets. stuff like that.Hey dont think cause we're lil kids then we go around doing that k.There were two permeanent staff with us, one 24 and another around late 30s and it was them tht slacked most of the way. And after our rounds they brought us to the cafeteria to get snacks. Being 'guai' I didnt get anything but the rest ate tau hui -_-. lol.

Ok then we had training by the assistant manager,Melvin. And our dear A.M. is...ahem...how shld I put it. Not straight. He's well...not gay. He's...well different. And its not me. It's a true fact in the office. Yeap. My first job in the real world man. Training wasnt boring but it was draining. We had plenty to learn and much more to memorise. But at leat he's an interesting chap who craps around a lot so it was bearable. Told us who to stay away from in the various departments, told us the weird people and their characteristics and just kinda made training a pleasent time thankfully. By the end of it all, all of us were gone. Super tired.

Apparently full time staff has its plus points. They are entitled to 50% off all 10 of the resturants in the 2 hotels, both Swissotel the Stamford and Raffles the Plaza. How great is that. And while people complain of getting sick of hawker food, they actually dare to complain that they were sick of resturant food. Sometimes these people have too many lovely things in their lives that they dont know how to appreciate it.

And there were lots of stories from the office staff abt what they've seen when they have to interact with the hotel guests. Ok before I tell any, here's the standard procedure that they follow. They press the bell and call out "Communications" refering to the branch that they're in. When nobody answers the door the first time, they do it a second time. But when nobody open'd it they open it with the card key and enter just like i said earlier. So once, this girl after calling out twice had to open the room herself. The room was pretty dark cause the curtains were drawn as some guests are too freaking lazy to open it so as she walked into the room she couldnt see anything clearly. yet she heard this Ugh Ugh Ugh sound. Realizing what it was, she walked out as fast as she could. Thankfully the guests didnt realise that a worker had just intruded their private moment =). Another one was when this idiot man opened his door to answer the bell in his underwear. Why are there these kind of people in this world? I wonder.

And thats as much that I can type into this blog. The shifts that I got are pretty disgusting. 11am-7pm from tuesday to sat straight. its DISGUSTING. I cant go anywhere at all. I oly have sundays to live for at the moment.

From secondary school to work...not an easy thing. Not easy at all. You've left you're protective shield behind once you start work. A lot of bitching goes on and thats even in a small office of less then 20 people at a time and you're exposed to a lot of ungodly, worldly ideas and stuff that will test your standards. All I have to say is be prepared for it.

My first day and i've experienced everything. Even non-straight people. Shakes head. For goodness sake, I'll gladly say it this time. I'm only 16.

Friday, January 05, 2007 Heres the gist of whats been happening to me since New Year's day.

I got a sore throat on that day itself but ignored it hoping and praying that it'll go away. But Instead I developed a stuffy nose and an even worst sore throat which resulted in chesty coughs lasting up till today.

Through it all, I had to go for a job interview at swissotel;i'm starting work there on monday, create earrings for the garage sale with the rest of the girls and just bummed out at home. The guys and girls came to my house on te last day of hols to chill watching benchwarmers and beauty shop in which the latter we had no clue as to what was going on because of all the slang they had in the show. Those afro-american slang. So we ended up playing bridge till evening then they all went home to get ready for school the next day. hahaha.

Des tried to persuade me into going to SR just to try out but I refused to budge from my decision. Sorry Des!

Poly open houses are starting, missed the S'pore Poly one today cause im still recovering from the idiot incessent cough and stuffy nose.

I've no brains to blog a proper entry right now so bear with me till im well.

Other than that all I can say regarding PL's brand new school :its freaking nice. =)
