It starts from my toes, and I wrinkle my nose

Monday, February 19, 2007 Chinese new year has been pretty mundane for me so far with very little visits and what with my mom not bothering to invite people to our house. So its been a quiet affair, nothing special. Shrugs.



My Dad's colleague came to visit in the morning today and he had his two girls with him. One just started primary sch and the other age 5. Adorable to a certain extent yet with parents such as their's they dont know when to stop. The young one can consume up to 20 sweets a day and the parents do nothing bout it though the know that it isnt goodfor her teeth. Yet they give the excuse that its the only thing that will keep her happy and calm and not run about like a ball of fire. But seriously, are some parents that oblivious or ignorant about the negative prospects their kids face when they grow older? Lets say decayed teeth or diabetes? Do they not care for their childrens well being? tsk. some people.



But the older girl is more sensible. She doesnt have an english name so her mom said that she was quite upset about it cause everybody in her primary school class had an english name. So we were telling her that when she grow older she'll be able to choose her own english name. Then she said this 'I want Samantha, like jie jie. I like that name' hahahaha. For that she deserves another ang bao. *grins*




Visited my dad's god brother near HCI and nanyang girls sch.Its a annual affair tha we only visit them during chinese new year. Some rich man in a bungalow with a daughter in primary 3. Sadly the mom passed away when she was born. But the daughter's growing up to be a beauty. Pretty girl, all for sports especially golf. Too bad I didnt bring my camera along, if not i'll have taken a picture of her.



Well other than that its been to visit my cousins but even so 1 of my cousins has left for australia and the other will be leaving on wed as well. Then it'll only be my younger cousin staying by himelf with my grandparents, maid and dad at home. Its pretty sad that right now we're quite distant from each other. We hardly meet up or talk to each other though when we wee young I used to stay over at their house a lot and go there for dinner every weekend. Those days are sorely missed by me.



At least i have this sunday to look forward to. CNY family visitation which will end with us aving dinner at roger's house. Funn.



De, gracia and I need a day to catch up with each other. De is super busy and we havent had a proper talk for eons.


Gracia, we dont know if you're still pissed with us.
But if you are pls tell us so and tell us why.
Is it because she didnt tell you before she told me or what?
and i have so much to ask abt...set aside a day to talk yea?
