i guess it's only temporary though, cos of the huge impact caused by the RP race that saturday.

sunday's the Ubin race,man im so scared i could pee in my pants and cry in my sleeeeep.okay maybe im exaggerating,but really,who wont be afraid/nervous?
we're pretty worried for the guys who'll be rowing in Ks,cos it's super unstable with all the waves and all,afraid they'll capsize and "things" would happen.touch wood yes, but we can never expect anything to happen, can we? "

so yes. My CAPTAIN is afraid of water. i got my laughter for the day when he told me this. hurrhurr. very funny JM.

i'm starting to get paranoid. my teeth feels as if they're moving away from their positions. I can feel them re-shuffeling and moving about and then im scared that i'll have to wear braces again.
My gums feel funny and im making funny faces in the window as i type this post, checking my teeth every now and then to see if they're still in place.

This week, i'll able to get rid of a few evil items such as the progress report, f&b report, communication skills test and PB draft. After that the load will be half the weight. thank you God. =)

Yesterday was good. We went without much expectations so we just enjoyed ourselves and saw how strong the other teams were. I mean, 8 months compared to 2 years of training...
Plus, what a small world this is. Des and I saw Julyn from Lcc. Apparently she was previously from canoeing as well. and Candice's friend Damien.

Thursday, November 22, 2007 Week 5 is finally coming to an end. Here comes the full weekends and then Week 6, which will be crunch time. Most reports due, drafts and consultation and all.

Impromptu today was...fast. Just talking for 2 minutes equals to 15% of my assessment for public speaking (PS) grade. What is your favourite haunt in Singapore. haha. I said that it was the zoo, een though i havent been there in years. But i do so want to go.
Some funny things said today by the PS class:

*after the 2 mins preparation has passed* "mdm whats this?" "genome. human genome" "whats that?! shit la die already" *he was suppose to start and he had no idea what the topic was about*
" CLARENCE. IMPROMPTU TO THE MAX LA YOU!" haha.Thankully the poor boy was given another minute to prepare.

Edwin walked out of class to prepare for his speech and called the previous person to get back into class.
" Mdm, the girl has disappeared" "Go check she may be at the stairs"
opens the door again. " Mdm, the girl has really disappeared!"

haha. just a few.

Tomorrow's another long day. School and then transporting the boats to lower seletar reserviour. rahhh. tired tired tired. Saturday is competition day.

Monday, November 19, 2007 i'm having a blasted headache while trying to print lecture notes on a totally spoiled computer that has a trojan inside it. The day's so dreary and grey and i have to go to school only for an hour and half of marketing lecture. After that its research time in the 10 storey library for marketing worthy material which i have to read before tomorrow's meeting. My food and beverage report has not been touched at all and i have no clue as to what dish i should do. Tutorials are to be done by wednesday, i got to go to the supermarket to get Fresh Rosemary(as if i have the time) as well as type out another letter for communication skills class.

this week is off to a GREAT start

Tuesday, November 13, 2007 You don't know how much it means when your coach encourages you and say " no more baby ah. Now real K1. All big already." To tell you that you are doing well and can now use a K1 boat...I'm even more determined to get my balance right before thaking the next step on a K2 with Chrys :). Chrys! wait for me! I'll work hard and we can get onto a K2 soon!

7 months ago i was doing an hour's worth of pushups and crunches nonstop. I still have the scars to show. Just standing in the water paddling 1500 strokes under the midday sun with 19 other people was only the beginning. Right now theres 11 of us, and most of the time its just 6 or 7 who train regularly. Come on guys. we can do it. It has been 7 months and we're still going strong.

Push ups on gravel, stuffing horrible biscuits in our mouths, 20 happy meals, towing and rescuing others, and eating Damien's egregious backwash. Hah. I know you guys can do it for the round ubin race. i'm rooting for you all. :) as for RP competition...who knows, who knows?

Friday, November 09, 2007 C.H.I.J.M.E.S is such a pretty place. Dad brought me there for dinner and the Prime Rib steak was good. Only our next door neighbours were a little too annoying. but who cares. The ambience was lovely. :)

I got bitten by something scary in the reserviour this afternoon and I refused to put my legs down, clinging on to my boat for dear life in case a bigger, scarier animal came and bite my toes off. Like the sea-lion/otter/beaver that Steph saw on tuesday. Tsk Bedok Reserviour is turning into a zoo. and i dont like it one bit. Not when you have monkeys coming and sitting right above you in the club, or having terapins nip at your toes as if they were food.

JM got me a near heartattack when he lied to me and said that he gave my secret out. Chrystal please teach your boyfriend some manners about not giving girls a nasty fright. He said that he did it just to see my expression and he should have videoed it. Lol. Just because he's in understanding arts doesnt mean he can use me as a dummy to know how a shocked, agonized expression looks like. hahaha.

Thursday, November 08, 2007 Stepping into an empty house, the silence and darkness hit me right in the face when I opened the front door. I didn't realise how different a house can be without your family. Its no longer a home but just a place for you to sleep, eat and do whatever is needed to be done. Oh well, thankfully it's just for a day and my Dad will be back from Bangkok tmr afternoon. We'll have dinner together then. :)

Sunday, November 04, 2007 Facebook has really nice bumper stickers, especially the wordy ones. Take for example: A woman's heart should be so lost in God that a man needs to seek Him in order to find her.
and this other one is real funny. sometimes i think its me: I'm the type of girl who will burst out laughing in dead silence because of something that happened yesterday... well i think my classmates wont exactly agree with it. They keep on saying that i "lag one month". oh wells.

Thurs turned out to be a personal session with coach while the rest of the team paddled. Instead of going down to join them, i had a 45 min talk on values and morals when i start working in the tourism industry. haha. But on a serious note, im really thankful for a coach like him, who really cares about our welfare and bothers to talk about things that are close to the heart. Certain stuff that he said to me would always be a source of encouragement and a reason to hold steadfast in my believes.

Going on, Thurs night turned into a state of panic for me when i found out that the scholarship application was going to be closed the next day 5pm. Apparently the course manager had sent me an email regarding the application only that i hardly ever check my TP account, so my dear Kiang Ang bothered to inform me cause he too received the email and was equally shocked. I mean he could have not bothered to tell me about it then he would have 1 less person to fight with in being shortlisted. But he's a nice cow and classmate. =)

So all im asking for now is to be shortlisted for the interview. I don't know how many people got 3.5 and above for GPA and did send in their essay for review. I don't know how many will get shortlisted, but I do know that only 1 person in LRM will get the scholarship

Oh sighh. Project meetings are coming up, datelines are looming, training opportunities are few and food for the spirit is little. God please give me the strength to go thru this week and to be a light for all to see.
