School's been...I dont know. I've still gotta get used to it I guess. Missing TP's atmosphere real badly. It doesnt help that I return almost everyday to TP campus but the feelings different. You kinda feel out of touch with the happenings. Plus projects are starting. I've already been booked on wednesday for project meetings. Gosh! My school life is really moving at lightning speed. Stopppp! Todays selections was disappointing. The turn up for girls were few. I can use 2 fingers to count. :( Howwwww. Roar. Coach is busy enjoying himself in malaysia right now river rafting while we're all settling down to the routine of school again. The other watersport ccas arent doing very well either from what ive heard. I mean the team isnt exactly a team plus theres no support from each other. We've gotta gel yo! Gel your teams together people! It isnt easy yes yes but we'll do it together as SL's! TP CP, WP and C! Sunday, April 27, 2008

Not cool. Not fun. Not cheap. Ferrying between home, sentosa, TP and back home again isnt exactly what i'd call enjoyable. I could easily spend $7 a day on transport alone. With the inclusion of meals...gosh thats 10 times worse. The past week has been prep for Tp regatta and PA canoe race. Busy weekends didnt give me much time to rest before school opened and im now rapidly being caught in the whirlwind of activities and decision making. I didnt perform up to the standard that I personally expected for myself. Yes, I did make it to the semis of all 3 categories that I participated in namely T1, K1 and K2 but certain events were rather disappointing i must admit. I didnt put in effort at all for K1 knowing that entering the finals would be rather tough. It was a mad rush after that semis, switching boats immediately to T1 w/o a chance for rest. 2 gulps of red bull and i was off. Now for T1 I was dertermined to enter the finals but STUPID me, and i mean STUPID, forgot to wash off the deep heat oil from my hands and once my hands entered the water, i completely lost my grip on the paddle so the whole start up was screwed and that was the end of entering the finals. Stupid stupid stupid. I put off purchasing a grip for my paddle and I was to lazy to wash my hands properly with soap. Up till now i get really frustrated thinking about it. ROAR. K2 was doing well until we capsized without knowing how it happened. We concluded that one of our paddles must have cut under water hence pulling us down. At that point in time, when i was in the rescue boat I couldnt hold it anymore. Once we reached shore and went back to TP for a breather by ourselves(Chrys and I) everything came falling out. I couldnt stop whatever i was doing then. Well its done and over. Been preping for the recruitment drive which starts tmr and im about filled up to my head with it. Why must VC be incharge of such events. Groans. next up is Training camp and i gotta draft up a proposal for my advisor before getting the green light to plan it. Gah. 1500 flyers, last minute noticeboard design, 3 hours of rushing out the canoe banner, printing photos at home. My eyes are gonna shut any moment. A very goodnight to you. Friday, April 11, 2008
We werent given much chance to know our group members plenty on the first day so pretty much we knew about each other was close to zero. Crazy crazy games. Such as the whole transferring rope from one person to another in a circle. Everyone was wriggling madly trying to get the rope off their bodies. Oh and the sweaty stickyness. Shudders. I must say that girls were such a minority. Like either 2:8 or 3:9. some groups didnt even have girls. goodness. Plus my other half of a girl had to leave halfway so i was the only female in the group. And sadly, i didnt receive special treatment. Instead they made me leader for certain games and took away a whole tub of ben and jerry's from me. It was rightfully mine! I mean 2 tubs per group so it DOES make sense that girls get 1 tub and guys get another aye? hahaha. but NOOOO they stole my whole strwaberry tub. lol. Dinner was awesome at...ok i cant remember the place but it was close enough to Songs of the Sea for us to catch glimpses of the fireworks. We didnt have to pay a dime for the whole camp including the dinner at the restaurant. They gave each of us an allowance to us for dinner and so we all chilled out next to the sea. :D Once in a while you could hear the grunts of the guys playing hand wrestling. Yeaa like some rowdy english pub with everyone surrounding them, cheering and faking bets. Canoeing vs Dragonboat. Lol. The 4 serangoon-ers NELed back. :D and 3 of them lived so close to one another. Like across a road or 1 street down. haha. to think that they've never met each other before. Totally a great time of knowing other sports leaders and learning so much from the past experiences of various CCAs, the achievements and failures especially. Some sports are not as well off as others. No coach to train them, not enough people to make a complete team yet each of them press on supporting one another. The discipline as well. It'll be so easy for them to just give up and disband but the refuse and thats one thing I admire. I've learnt that: Ruggers are a rubbishy bunch, full of crap and nonsense Wakeboarders pay a whole lot of money for each session Waterpolo doesnt have a coach but they're still pushing on Dragonboat girls team only has 5 members: 1 to rudder, 3 to row and 1 to give the beat Table tennis players are fed up of the recreational team that does nothing except take up space Basketball and Soccer has a fighting history on and off the court/pitch It takes courage and determination to lead a team and it wont be easy.
