School today was a tad disappointing. I was expecting the release of results for ROM only to be informed that technology itself will be used to convey the coursework grade instead of the tutors being the usual medium. Arghhhhh.
But Mr. Fernando was nice enough to let us off 40mins earlier so that Amanda and i could run off in search of a television in Sentosa to catch the 100m Butterfly finals. Yes Tao Li. We initially thought that the reception lady would be kind enough to relent and change the channel from CNA to 5 for 5 minutes. Kind was she not. I never liked her anyway. So we started panicking but smart me remembered the TV that hangs from the ceiling of KOUFU, 200m away. Run we did. Just in time to find a seat and watch the competitors stroll in. 5th placing, 18 years of age. She has 10 more years of future. and I'm pretty certain that if she keeps it up Tao Li wont have any problem of placing in the London 2012.
Managed to catch part of syncronised diving while on the way to TP. China's perfect 10 gave them the Gold. Beautiful extensions, points and entry. Simply amazing, in perfect harmony while for other countries, most of them were not able to enter together.
Gymnastics...the horror, nightmare one can experience falling from the uneven bars, confidence shattered to a million pieces but yet needing to complete the sequence. Poor He Kexin. I guess it took her all she got to control her tears until after completion. I should think that even though the team managed to place 1st for the day, the guilt, embarassment and shattered confidence will affect the rest of her performance. God Bless her little heart.
Right, enough of me rattling on and on about the Olympics. Its exactly 2 weeks to my first 2 papers. Attractions Management and Accounting for Hospitality and Tourism. Oh GG. I have not started my revision. Lord help me.
