Instead of Army half marathon I took part in Sam's half marathon today. Whacked 20km technique, 2 sets of 250m and 2 sets of 50m sprints. Total of 21.1km. haha and I didnt plan it. Coach called me up and gave me my training programme. I almost melted into the pontoon after that.
Problem was the wind was terribly strong. Strong meaning my paddle flew off the pontoon into the water, my nalgene bottle filled with water was blown off into the water as well and my boat itself could have rolled into the reserviour had I not held on to it for dear life. Wind plus 2 irritating speed boats going around and around the reserviour provided the ultimate challenge today. Like as if they're trying to help me train up for round ubin eh. YEA RIGHT.
Went down to City Hall after that just to spend some time alone curled up with a Starbucks Caramel Frap, Jodi Picoult book, my Bible and diary. I must say that time spent solved the emptiness I've been feeling for what feels the longest time ever. Pondering about the changes that has happened and will be happening for the rest of the year, praying and questioning God and feeling so so angry with myself.
Bumped into Danny at Citylink and even he commented that I looked real tired. I doubt that I'm tired physically...well alright maybe a little, but a lot of it has to do with not relying on God but my own strength to live. My mistake, my bad, my sin.
But my Lord's mercies are new every morning and I'm grateful for that.
Frankly this past year has been a hell of a ride.

It has not been what I would have planned my year to be. But who am I to plan for it's God who decides what stays and what goes. Moving to S.Gardens will be another change to come in Nov. No more Terence visiting when he feels like it. No more COCO on sundays. No more climbing 3 storeys of steps to reach home. :] But I suppose that this is life isnt it? We gotta move along when our job is done for God.
Theres so much more than what meets the eye. So much more that what i've written. If you're curious, lets meet for a cuppa. :)
So much more when you have the Lord. :)
