Saturday, January 17, 2009 Gosh how time flies...Everythings been zooming past me day after day that i've hardly had time to catch my breath let alone sit down and ponder and type out an entry.

So, i've completed 22km, 4 portages at the Singapore Canoe Marathon, placed 3rd for that. Not entirely satisfied with the results but I'll take what I've been given and be grateful.

I've finished my major reports and interviews that has to do with the bulk of the coursework this semester.

I've settled my internship and have secured a place at Singapore Tourism Board.

I've met up with my dear tpbc friends this month and realise that half of them have already been stuck at Tekong for the past week.

I've visited Sugarloaf too many times than I ever imagined to.

and i've still managed to fit training into the crazy time table that i have. Hooray!

Sunday, January 04, 2009 Sometimes all I can do is laugh at what God has planned for me. I mean as if he was just teasing me and saying 'I told you so'.

I've rejected SAF Yatch Club much to my own flesh disappointment. You all know how much I love being out at sea and this job would be the perfect one. Teaching kids how to sail and kayak. Organising sea sports events. But apparently it was not to be. According to God that is. He refused to give me a peace of heart, soul and spirit the whole of yesterday and today until I finally relented and wrote the email back to SAF citing some unexplainable personal reasons that prevents me from interning at their company. Problem was, last night I was all over the floor, hunting high and low for my kayak certs, 1 cert in particular and I could not find it. Like EVERYWHERE. I couldnt find it. and I was telling God, 'You really really dont want me to take up this company do you?' So I didnt, and just 1 hour ago I found that blasted cert hidden away in a corner that I would never think of searching...though I must admit that it was in plain sight.

So guys out there, my God's too cool for words. Cause he plays along with me when I dont obey Him but he doesnt scold me. He only hides my stuff. Hahahaha.

Friday, January 02, 2009 Hallejuah for 2009! I'm looking forward to a year of abundant living as what Pastor Dom shared. After a year of New Beginnings, its time to move forward and bask in the abundance that the Lord has in store for meeeee!!!

2008 has been an awesome year, getting to know so many people in TP, finding my footing in LRM, enjoying Sentosa, F1 SGP!, going through the tough journey of kayaking to emerge successful. Oh the wonderful opportunities God had for me.

Of course the year had its fair share of woes and tears. But I've realised that nothing is lost with God by my side. Even friendships can still remain tight when people are a further distance away from you physically.

New year's eve was spent at Trinity until 10 30 and then I left early cause Gracia Kor came over for a sleep over! I've missed that girl terribly. and no matter how boring it may seem to some of you, spending our last minutes of 2008 counting down in front of a television screen munching on pizza, the night was nice and simple, catching up and just talking ourselves to sleep on the sofa bed.

Morning saw us having brunch and chasing Spencer around the porch while Jackie cleaned his cage. That poor little rodent was scared out of his wits with the wide wide world open to him. Gracia brought him to visit the sharks next door. Haha.

Last year was indeed a year that saw me having a gazillion more new friends at TP. Priceless friendships that I pray will continue to strengthen.
