Sunday, March 29, 2009 MR500 has been the worst race of my entire canoeing period. They screwed up my results, my finals race listing and misplaced my medal.

I'm not entirely upset about not getting the medal. I'm upset with how the organiser spoke to me. "Things happen" and without any hint of apology isnt the best way to talk to a race participant.

Thank you for bringing such a horrible ending to what I had hoped could be a wonderful race.

Saturday, March 21, 2009 Theres a certain species of men that deserve to be castrated and thrown into the white tigers den for all I care. Perverts. I almost felt like kicking one today down the double decker bus stairs. Being unfortunate enough to meet 2 this week is enough for the rest of my life. Dont let me see any of you again or else you'll get a smelly stinky kick from me.

On a lighter note, driving today was fun. Mr. Teacher made me learn parking on my own. he just gave me this instructions:

Turn left full 1 1/2 turns.
yes yes turn, ok, now zam the right hand side. yes, then turn left again.
ahhh straighten out. there you go.

Then he got out of the car to talk with the rest of the uncles and left me fooling around at the wheel. I swear I was moving the car around the parking lots like a fool. Most of the time the car ended up diagonally across 2 lots. and I managed to hit the parking pole down. Gosh...I felt like a bimbo for once. I was making funny faces at my teacher who was standing outside and not bothering about how his car was being parked. Oh wells. Practice makes perfect. :D

May 19 May 19 I shall pass and get my license!

Theres so much running through my head, so many people that I'm thinking of right now.
Gotta take a breather and stare out at the stars first.
It has been 6 longgg years my friend. I'm glad its finally over.
I miss Matthias Foo, Marcus Tan and Mark Leong. I miss playing and making music with them. Now my guitar is out of tune. Stupid army, take my friends away from me.

Friday, March 20, 2009 No one knows how terrified you really are except yourself. They say things like "You should be coming down" and "you slacker" but they have no idea whats going on in your everyday life. I try to commit as much as I can when I can. I dont think they should be the ones telling me what to do after all that I've been through.

Maybe I shouldnt even be bothered with what they think. its how I arrange my time anyway. In the end, its I who get the sweet smell of success by God's grace. Go on and say as much as you want abt me not training. I'll be there on saturday the 28 to the podium with God's strength and my own training.

Wonder why i even bother to stay at times. I've never felt appreciated anyway most of the time.
So much so for putting in effort the past year. No one even bothers or cares anyway.
A little encouragement will never surface i guess, not from this team.

Sunday, March 15, 2009 It still hasnt really sunk in that I'm gonna start 5 months of work tomorrow and that more than half of my clique is gone or is going to fly for 4-5months till end July. Must be the cause of my gloom and grumpy-ness the past few days. If I'm already missing them right now, i cant imagine when we graduate. Gosh, that would be...heartache.

Guys, if you are reading this...but you're on the butt cracking plane ride currently so i doubt so...KEEP 1 AND 2ND AUGUST FREE.

Tsk, work hasnt started and I've already thought of what I'm gonna do after my stint at STB. Maybe a trip to Hawaii for a holiday and looking up the university there.

No doubt everyone keeps telling me that I'm so priviledge to be placed at STB cause it definitely has a good profile and lovely to place in my resume, but the thought of being in customer service for a good 18 months is pretty...well uninteresting, sadly.

Apart from that, MR500 is up in 2 weeks and I dont feel ready for it. After implementing the new technique and whatsoever, it does seem so much more effective but it'll take longer than 2 weeks to get it right but all I have right now is...this coming tues-sat and nothing else. No matter what I'll always give it my 200% so we'll just have to wait for 28 march to come round...

from a 3.57 to 3.34.
When I put in so much effort into MICE and it reaps a C+, the feeling isnt exactly awesome.
There goes my DHL...

But thanks Vincent for the encouragement. Whats done is done, no use crying over spilled milk. Guess I'll just come back at 3.2 stronger and more determine to pull up whats left of my pathetic GPA.

So for now, all of us will work towards Pass with Commendation for our attachment and look forward to meeting each other again after 31st july.

P.S. I love my course mates. They're one of the greatest people God has blessed me with. :)

Tuesday, March 10, 2009 Why does it seem that my injury is coming back again? It's starting to hurt whenever I paddle for over an hour and the rest of the day. =( MR500 in 2 1/2 weeks time. Technique technique technique womannn.

Results are coming out tmr! Via sms. Dang, my GPA had better increase by 0.1 at least.

Sam's mind is all whirly right now. Her friends are gonna fly away to America and Cheena in 5 days time. She's already missing them like 10000times after Si kai's silly chalet and our night of pick up sticks, monopoly and chompchomp. Sam misses bobtomtan, timmy, noisy ong, vincent, seong,clair and everyone everyone else. Internship please fly by so that my friends can come back to me in August and then we can do fun things again. 5 months :( :( :(

Thursday, March 05, 2009 Holey Macaroni! My project group's event is shortlisted by Sentosa Leisure Group to be a potential youth night event! Like oh my geez how in the world did that happen? Out of 100 over proposed events and we're one of the top 5?! We seriously thought nothing of our event materializing and only wanted the grade. Who knew that SLG is interested in our crazy ideas. Xtreme Xtion baby! Ong practically flipped over the phone when i called him to relate the news. Though we already have secured our internship but I guess this one with SLG is another potential attachment and will look great on our resumes. Poster Presentation on Tuesday. Awesome! Thank you God!

Plus plus Singapore Grand Prix F1 contacted me again to get us to work for them again the whole of sept this year. Whoohoo. I get to meet Jet Jay Jas David Gene Stuart Adrian and all again! :D :D

Today cant get any better than this.

Monday, March 02, 2009 Sam see's exhilarated that she can participate in MR500 in a month's time and at the same time totally enjoy interning at Singapore Tourism Board. I'm so looking forward to the 10 day training programme after looking at the schedule. They're bringing us to the Zoo! Hooray! and night safari, sentosa, marina bay, orchard, museums, bugis, chinatown and more!

I get to train early in the mornings before going of to work. So I must must do my very best for this competition before focusing on SIP for the next 5 months.

I can finally get some good sleep tonight :D

Sunday, March 01, 2009 Sam's happy today cause she finally met Matthias Foo again after 1 and a 1/2 months. :D That boy's hair is gone gone gone! Surprisingly he's Pes C cause of a stupid knee injury. See, Foo(pun not intended),play hockey too much. hahaha. Gosh I miss talking to him. Too bad we only had like 10 mins to catch up and him teaching me the powder bath song. Reminds me of school camps and Flee Fly Mosquito songs.

Looking at the hundreds of photos I have of SF, last year's birthday surprise was the funniest. Met Foo, Mark, Marcus and Gracia at Marina Square for the afternoon and Foo accidently let it slip that while we were out, Aileen and Co. were in my house for reaso I did not know but could obviously guess. So he begged me to act surprised and all and I was laughing my way up the stairs with him. hahaha.

and of course the MSM script writers for the christmas' skits. Great memories.

I miss my Sfers!
